I moved here from Tokyo in 1989, and spent a year building this factory surrounded by nature at the foot of one of Kyotango’s mountains. We sketch, plan out, and produce pieces such as chirimen colored with natural dyes, as well as hand-woven textiles where fibers of wild plants are used.
